A good number of medicinal plants and their chemical constituents are reported to have antimycobacterial activity comparable to the existing antitubercular drugs or sometimes even better in efficacy. The present review covers the literature published concerning medicinal plants and plant-based active constituents showing both immunomodulatory and antimycobacterial activity.
